The APSA of Illinois needed an updated website to promote their association as a supportive and helpful resource to current and prospective members, to legislators and to automotive consumers. The design uses APSA of Illinois’ new logo, new colors and unique photos of their members’ shops. Ease of use, search engine findability, and fast access to information were important goals for this project. We helped APSA of Illinois present their member and consumer services within a colorful, easy-to-use and consistent new design to position them to grow their mission and membership.

Out-of-the-box design templates, flagstore and custom color combos, unique industry images and customized automotive-oriented boilerplate text helps get these sites launched in record time. This site, including a reworked logo, was launched in just three weeks from start to finish.

By combining an agile methodology, an open source content management system and an incremental design, we launched a fully functional interactive website in just 29 calendar days. Phase I functionality included membership, forums, event calendar, games, photo of the day and a map with links to state resources. Phase II, launched 2 months later, added private messaging, member and public galleries, an auto-generated site map, videos, field journals (blogs) and a new design. Phase III, launched the next month, included an enhanced search, member birthdays, member of the month, new affiliate ads and various usability updates.
